This book is more interesting than you would expect. It's so arrogantly awkward it overwhelmed ME with an uncomfortable feeling of embarrassment towards the author for the entire 4 hours I spent learning how incredibly great he is!. Trevor Burbank along with his brothers Trent and Troy were a part of the force with a few other supernatural beings. Everything is clearly presented and explained in a way that anyone can grasp. The book, told both from Miles's and Ekaterin's points of view, is darker, more pensive than previous books. There are times that I didn't feel the connection that was growing between Malcolm and Dani. This is a very good book for the true beginner.
