This book provides a good starting point to understand the history of the container that brought about the increased velocity of international trade, and how certain ports became hubs for billions of dollars in commerce.. It would make the experience of reading the book even more enjoyable, if that is possible! Thank you for what is obviously a great gift to us.. This book was published as part of the official centennial of the New York Subway system back in 2004, but it differs from the traditional history book approach. There is much to criticize about Marx and his theories but the extended ad hominem attack presented here does become tiresome after a while and quite unintentionally funny. Carl Edwin Lindgren, DEd
