After Karmen Young’s mother left when she was a child, she had to step up to the plate and take care of her family. Now at 19 years old, she is starting to blossom into a beautiful and successful young lady. She was running a functioning business that was generating enough for her to save up for her own salon and follow her dream of becoming a video model. It was in this business that she became good friends with Yasmine Fields. Yasmine was a young mother of a six-month old baby. She was wild and a force to be reckoned with when she didn’t get her way. She saw herself as the baddest bitch and no one could compare to Yasmine in that light. Many times, she chose the club over her own son who she shared with local rapper and rising star, Avion Isaac. One wild night in Club Passion’s sends these two girls into a whirlwind in their friendship. New Romances begin to bud and true colors are revealed in this drama-filled novella.

Editorial :

And she just shrugs and says, oh, well?! In fact, the whole character of Nicholas and his role in the story is puzzling. The author received the cooperation of the CIA in the writing of this book. Not only did my kids really enjoy this book, but it taught me about physics in a fun, interesting, clever manner. It is in a workbook format and walks you through step by step. This is merely one step away from the Jungian approach held so dearly to many New Agers that all paranormal forces are simply products of the mind and have no independent existence of their own.

While the author occasionally contributes an insightful view against modernism and the anti-spiritual society in which we live, it is often expressed in a rather long-winded, vague, and all-together 'preachy' fashion that can easily push the reader away from taking in the viewpoint meant to be expressed. There are no guarantees. This is one of many books I bought as Christmas gifts for the family this year.
