Editorial : About the Author
"Dan Abnett lives and works in Maidstone, Kent, in England. Well known for his comic work, he has written everything from the Mr Men to the X-Men. His work for the Black Library includes the popular strips Lone Wolves, Titan and Darkblade, the best-selling Gaunt's Ghosts novels, and the acclaimed Inquisitor Eisenhorn trilogy."

This is the second in the new "Gaunt's Ghosts" sequence, "The Lost". Returning from a long mission on a Chaos world, Commissar Gaunt finds that his old regiment, the Tanith First-and-Only, has been redeployed under a charismatic new commander. As the fighting becomes bitter, Gaunt is finally reunited with his men as the Imperial forces make one last desperate attempt to hold the line against the invaders.

You will find the source's guides in the back of the book worth the price alone. After the first chapter, I was hooked! Each chapter will leave you wanting more. From this longing comes a crisis of belief. The seer has said he needs to meet with the Doge of Helios, the ruler of that distant land, to see whether there may be cause for alarm. Owen is scared when he loses his mama in the water. His technological inventiveness is quite believable. The descriptions are clear and informative. As I said in the review for Book 2, one of the best things about the Notespeller series is that my son can focus on other things during his lessons - his teacher can focus on expression and phrasing and dynamics and the money I spend on lessons has a better result because she doesn't have to spend any time on note reading, hand positions, or key changes because he has that solid partly through his year-long work in the Notespellers. There really needs to be a central example library instead of searching
