It was a dream assignment! Collect wit, one-liners, tall tales, practical jokes, and funny stories for a book about Alaska humor. In MOOSE DROPPING AND OTHER CRIMES AGAINST NATURE, author Tom Brennan writes about the indignant tourist who hears of moose droppings and wants to know from what height the moose are dropped; about the practical joker in Sitka who creates a near-panic when he charters a helicopter to drop a load of old tires into the crater of a nearby dormant volcano, then sets the tires on fire; about the equally engaging tales of people, animals, and politicians.

Editorial : About the Author
Tom Brennan is a newspaper editor and columnist in Anchorage. His second book, MURDER AT FORTY BELOW, is a compilation of Alaska crime stories and will be published by Epicenter this fall. He is currently writing a novel about an oilman turned alcoholic fisherman who leads Alaska in a rebellion against Washington, D.C.

He read all ten books in a matter of days - two, I think. There are no hard and fast rules to build great companies, Google followed its own philosophy to build a great search engine and likewise Apple followed its own philosophy to build great products. I found it extremely moving and profound and made me think of loving my husband. It’s from these slim facts, and the sound perception that John was going through a prolonged drought music-wise, that the clever, word-rich Irish writer Kevin Barry has fashioned this whimsical fiction.

Beatlebone is a very odd book. She has not lost anything - she has gained something. We shouldn't but sometimes all of us do. Danford's book explains how exercise doesn't have to be boring or akin to a hampster on a treadmill, and the photos included certainly inspire me to find ways to get in shape that are fun and enjoyable. Here you again meet new characters made by Brain Jacques and they are all unique in their own little ways.
