PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS FOR ENGINEERS AND SCIENTISTS, Fourth Edition, continues the approach that has made previous editions successful. As a teacher and researcher at a premier engineering school, author Tony Hayter is in touch with engineers daily--and understands their vocabulary. The result of this familiarity with the professional community is a clear and readable writing style that readers understand and appreciate, as well as high-interest, relevant examples and data sets that hold readers' attention. A flexible approach to the use of computer tools includes tips for using various software packages as well as computer output (using MINITAB and other programs) that offers practice in interpreting output. Extensive use of examples and data sets illustrates the importance of statistical data collection and analysis for students in a variety of engineering areas as well as for students in physics, chemistry, computing, biology, management, and mathematics.

Editorial :

I would say if anything I wanted more emotion. Excellently written book about emotional eating.. Who would have thought that actually working on the case would bring her to the attention of her boss? The boss then trusts her with handling slightly more. This clarifies the issues, tells you what is known and what scientists think it may do. I love my cookbook from the American Heart Association. I loved watching how she adjusted to historical Scotland. Now,I'm no doctor, but if someone was underweight and literally not eating ANYTHING (or being supplemented)for weeks, they would be dead,or in a hospital--not walking around NYC. We have zero leadership, zero accountability and zero representation. To sum up, the story sounded interesting, but quickly unraveled into a laundry list of complaints by an extremely passive and egocentric main character without any redeeming characteristics. And frankly, metal is too expensive to be guessing your way through.. I bought this for a statistics class
